Repeat’s good. Sometimes.

I enjoy using both traditional and digital techniques. For my Surface Pattern Designs I often combine these two techniques.
Since I graduated in Illustration and have a love of hand drawn imagery design my work has a strong illustrative feel.

Much of the inspiration for the Surface Pattern Designs has been taken from journeys around the world. I never travel without my sketchbook and took thousands of photographs of natural (and other) elements during my visits. Drawing and illustrating natural elements is about observing, curiosity and a desire to understand. There is mystery and beauty in nature and I feel a sense of closeness forgetting everything around me.
